9-5-2012 Paula's setlist

As I noted in circle, the theme for this set arose during its creation: "a meditation on what you get when you don't get what you expected to get."  When creating the set, it was raining, a lot; rain and storms were forecast for the night of this dance. When the day came, it was hot and sunny, not a drop of rain in sight. And thus the theme!

7/18/2012 (Blake T)

This was my set list from 7/18/12. It was an experimental set that presented two nearly identical waves rather than the usual one. The 'peaks' to each wave were long tribal dance jams and the whole set took use of skin sounds and wood sounds. I laid off of the electronica for this and had some beautiful indigenous motifs and chants here. I had a theory if I told the dancers that there was a different wave orientation and to conserve energy for these long trance dances then it would bring people very deep. And for those who made it to the end, we went very deep. It was a pleasure to offer.
